That strip is optional.

Those are in line with the exposed income icon, so I would only need to cover those if I cover the income icon. In the case of this island, it is not possible to cover it, so everything is legal. Thanks for watching!

Ha, that is so funny. I get such the opposite response. Fitting the pieces together fills me with an irrational childlike joy. I especially love that you have to earn the pieces and you can get some wild shapes. I consider filling up your central board in A Feast for Odin to still be one of the most satisfying things in all of board gaming. Oh, that should be a top 10 list! I totally agree. Rosenberg's magnum opus. I've never been very good at it, but I so enjoy just trying out a new way of getting tiles and then puzzling out their placement. And the solo game works so well. Just an amazing design. Thanks for checking out the playthrough!

Yes the retail version comes with the trays(two in the original and a third in the Norwegians expansion). The game would be pure misery without them.

Awesome to hear you like RC as much as I do. There are a few of us left in the world. I agree the multiplayer game feels a bit like collectively solving a solo puzzle. In fact, that is how I play with my wife. We just discuss what to do with each character as if it were a solo game. Works great. And there are extras and promos that can add a bit more individuality to the characters above and beyond their unique special abilities. I wouldn't worry about missing the Collector's Edition. Just make sure to grab the Book of Adventures when it hits retail. That is all you need. And if you haven't checked out my full solo playthroughs on the channel, be sure give them a watch. Hmm, my only hesitation is, at that high price, you could get multiple other solo games that would probably offer more replayability than Inventions alone. Inventions isn't one you are going to play dozens of times in a row like Voidfall. Darwin's Journey is excellent both multiplayer and solo, and while I probably like Inventions more, at a fourth of the price you can't go wrong there, especially if you already have Weather Machine for your Lacerda cravings. So Darwin's Journey would be my recommendation. But if money is no object, then I'd recommend both. Thanks for watching!

Ah, can I play the red card for the assist when not in a red sector? That is an excellent question that I don't know the answer to. I don't have the rules in front of me right now. My gamer gut tells me that discarding a card for its assist ability is different than attacking the monster, so I'd like to think it is allowed. But that is not an official ruling. Honestly, Mystery Tales is for the hardcore RC fan only. Even I rarely play with it. All you need is the base game and the Book of Adventures and that is years of amazing gameplay.
